At the time of his graduation, he also set the school and conference record in the 400-meter dash (48.7) as well as the school indoor record in the 400-yard dash (52.30). During his magnificent career on the track, Hill was crowned a conference champion in at least one event at each of his four appearances at the PAC Championships.

Hill was a three-year starter on the football team and spent two seasons as a defensive captain. As a defensive back, he finished his career with 163 tackles and three interceptions, including a 59-yard interception return for a touchdown in the 1985 season.

In 1992, Hill was selected by the Thiel College Alumni Association Board of Directors to receive the Thiel College Young Alumnus Award, an honor that is given to recent graduates in recognition of professional accomplishments.
