Kristen Benjamin '05 (Kent, Ohio / Roosevelt) was a tri-sport athlete that earned five All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) honors in track & field and basketball while also holding multiple soccer career-and-season records.
Benjamin, a four-time track & field letter winner, was an All-PAC First Team honoree in the discus with a throw of 37.03m, a then-PAC record, and shot put (12.40m) in 2005. She made the All-PAC Second Team in 2004 as she finished second in the same events.
On the hardwood, Benjamin made the All-PAC Second Team in 2005 as she set a program record with a .576 field-goal percentage (174-302) and totaled 408 points, which is tied for 12th-most in a season in Thiel history. Benjamin's 174 made field goals are seventh-most in a season for the Tomcats. She was a three-time basketball letter winner.
From the pitch, she earned two letters in goal as she remains the Thiel career record holder in goals against average (1.79) and wins (12). She is second in career shutouts (10) and tied for the single-season shutouts record with six in 2001.
