Caleb Goist was a four-time All-PAC honoree, including three First Team selections (2002-04). He was a team captain in 2004 and 2003, when the Tomcats last won the PAC title.

Goist was equally impressive in the classroom. He earned Academic All-America Third Team recognition from the National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) in 2004 and was a two-time Academic All-District 4 First Team selection by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) in 2004 and 2003.

A native of Columbiana, Ohio and graduate of Columbiana High School, Goist played shortstop the final three years of his career. He ranks among the best in program history in several career categories, including: assists (2nd, 412), hits (tied 3rd, 199), doubles (tied 4th, 42) and at-bats (5th, 559).

A career .356 hitter who recorded 107 RBIs, Goist recorded six hits in a 19-6 win over Carroll College on March 8, 2004, tying him for the most in a single-game in school history.
