TRAFFORD, Pa. (March 30) -- Thiel College Men's Volleyball outside Ezra Oesterling (Shelocta, Pa./West Shamokin) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Offensive Player of the Week (OPOTW) for the fourth time this season Monday evening.

This is the 12th time Oesterling was has received weekly PAC recognition in his Thiel career, as he was a six-time Newcomer of the Week and two-time OPOTW last season.

Oesterling recorded 10 aces last week, setting a new Thiel single-season aces record with 52 and counting, breaking his previous program record of 46 set last season. Oesterling added 24 kills (3.43 per set) and 12 digs as Thiel went 2-0 in PAC action last week.

In a 3-1 win over Chatham Wednesday, Oesterling led Thiel with 13 kills and a season-most seven aces, his second-highest career total, along with seven digs. Oesterling posted a match-high 11 kills on .280 to go with five digs and three aces in the Tomcats' sweep at Hiram Saturday.

Thiel is back in action Wednesday at 7 p.m. when they battle at Saint Vincent with the top spot in the PAC Championship Tournament up for grabs. The Cats will also head to Bethany Friday to conclude the regular season. With a 2-0 week, Thiel will secure the top spot and hosting rights in the year-end tournament.
