KENOSHA, Wis. (April 16) -- The Thiel College Men's Volleyball's historical 2026 season came to an end in the NCAA Tournament Play-In Round to No. 15 Dominican University (Ill.) in straight sets by scores of 26-24, 25-18 and 25-17 Thursday from Carthage College's Tarble Arena.

The Tomcats (23-9) end the season with a program-record 23 wins as they claimed back-to-back Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) championships and became the first team in school history to make consecutive NCAA Tournaments. Thiel achieved its first national ranking since 2014 and climbed as high as No. 17 in the AVCA poll.

Set one had 14 ties and seven lead changes. Thiel used a 5-0 run with Ezra Oesterling (Shelocta, Pa./West Shamokin) at the service line to pull Thiel ahead 18-16.
