LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 10) -- The Thiel College Men's Volleyball team climbed three spots to No. 17 in the American Volleyball Coaches' Association (AVCA) Week 4 Coaches' Poll released Tuesday afternoon.

Thiel's ranking marks the first time in team history that the program is ranked in consecutive weeks. It is also Thiel's second-highest AVCA ranking ever, just behind the 2014 squad that reached No. 15.

The Cats, who entered the AVCA Poll at No. 20 last week, posted a 3-0 week with wins over Penn State Behrend (3-2), Carlow (3-0) and No. 17 Buffalo State (3-2) to extend their winning streak to six.

Thiel opens Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play Thursday at 6 p.m. against Bethany at home before taking on Trine (1 p.m.) and RV Endicott (3 p.m.) Saturday at the Nazareth Invitational.
