Box Score GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's volleyball squad (13-17; 5-5 CVC) dropped a Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) matchup to #15-ranked Stevenson University, falling 3-0 Saturday afternoon by set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-21.
The Tomcats were paced by senior
Evan Proksell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler Area), who finished the match with a team-best nine kills and two block assists. Junior
Dylan Lasher (Ford City, Pa./Elderton) tallied eight kills and just one error on 23 attempts while also registering a team-high 11 digs.
As a team, the Tomcats had four blocks, including a solo block by junior
John Turner (Cambridge Springs, Pa./Cambridge Springs).
Sophomore
Charlie Tindall (Tarentum, Pa./Deer Lakes) did most of the setting for Thiel, recording 17 assists, two kills and two digs. Senior
Corey Hamilton (Meadville, Pa./Maplewood) rotated with Tindall, notching eight assists and four digs.
Kyle Pottieger led the Stevenson attack, finishing with a game-high 17 kills.
Thiel returns to action on Saturday, April 12 when they host the CVC Tournament. The third-seeded Tomcats will take on second-seeded Lakeland College in the first round of the six-team tournament.
