Box Score HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Thiel College men's volleyball team fell to the #1-ranked Juniata College Eagles 3-0 Wednesday evening by set scores of 25-15, 25-22, and 25-16.
The Tomcats were paced by
junior Michael Whitelock (Pittsburgh, Pa./Schenley), who finished the match with seven kills on 12 attempts and two block assists. Senior
Evan Proksell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler Area) tallied five kills with just one error on 12 attempts.
Defensively,
senior Andrew Pohlod (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) led Thiel with six digs while junior
Charlie Tindall (Tarentum, Pa./Deer Lakes) piloted the offense with 10 assists and two service aces.
The Eagles' Joe Bortak finished with a game-high 11 kills to lead the Juniata attack.
Thiel will next travel to Erie, Pa. on Tuesday, April 1, when the Tomcats take on the Penn State Behrend Lions. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
