Box Score POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Thiel College men's volleyball team suffered a three-set loss to #1-ranked SUNY-New Paltz Saturday night at Vassar College.
The loss drops the Tomcats to 9-8 overall while the Hawks improve to 15-2.
Junior middle hitter
Michael Whitelock (Pittsburgh, Pa./Schenley) paced the Tomcat attack with a team-high seven kills. Junior opposite hitter
John Turner (Cambridge Springs, Pa./Cambridge Springs) registered five kills and four block assists while junior setter
Charlie Tindall (Tarentum, Pa./Deer Lakes) added 11 assists and four digs.
Defensively, senior outside hitter
Andrew Pohlod (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) led the Tomcats with five digs.
Thiel returns to action on Sunday, March 2 when they travel to New York City to take on New York University. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m.
