Box Score GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's volleyball squad (8-7; 2-1 CVC) fell to the second-ranked Juniata College Eagles 3-1 Wednesday evening by set scores of 19-25, 24-26, 25-22 and 23-25.
The Tomcats were paced by junior
Dylan Lasher (Ford City, Pa./Elderton), who finished with seven kills and a team-best 12 digs. Freshman
Regan Hess (Burlington, Wis./Wetosha Central) also tallied seven kills with just three errors on 14 attempts.
Junior
Charlie Tindall (Tarentum, Pa./Deer Lakes) piloted Thiel's offense to the tune of 14 assists and four service aces, while senior
Corey Hamilton (Meadville, Pa./Maplewood) and freshman
Zack Rombach (Severn, Md./Archbishop Spalding) added 13 and 9 assists, respectively.
At the net defensively for the Tomcats, Lasher and senior
Evan Proksell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler Area) finished with three blocks assists each.
The Eagles' Paul Kuhn finished with a game-high 16 kills to pace the Juniata attack.
Thiel will next travel to Poughkeepsie, NY to take on Vassar College and the #1-ranked SUNY-New Paltz on March 1. The first match is set to begin at 11 a.m.
