Box Score CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Thiel College men's volleyball squad (4-5) fell to newest Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) member Dominican University, 3-1, Sunday on day two of the CVC Crossover weekend by set scores of 21-25, 25-20, 23-25, 22-25.
Junior
Dylan Lasher (Ford City, Pa./Elderton) paced the offensive attack for the Tomcats, finishing the match with 14 kills and 10 digs. Senior
Andrew Pohlod (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) tallied 11 kills with six errors on a team-high 33 attempts while also registering 10 digs.
As a team, the Tomcats had six total blocks, including two solo blocks Pohlod.
Defensively, junior
Colin Vitale (Pittsburgh, Pa./Montour) led Thiel with 14 digs and
Corey Hamilton (Meadville, Pa./Maplewood) piloted the offense with 44 assists and six digs.
The Stars Charlie Spry finished with a game-high 15 kills to pace the Dominican attack.
Thiel returns to action on Wednesday, February 12, when they host Penn State Behrend. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
