ERIE, Pa. – The Thiel men's volleyball squad concluded the first day of the 2013 Penn State Behrend Invitational with a 3-0 shutout of Keuka College.
Thiel (14-8) had a balanced attack in the win, with four different Tomcats recording seven kills-
Dante McCoy (Reading, Pa./Holy Name),
Kyle Turkalj (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area),
Dylan Lasher (Ford City, Pa./Elderton), and
John Turner (Cambridge Springs, Pa./Cambridge Springs).
Corey Hamilton (Meadville, Pa./Maplewood) and
Charlie Tindall (Tarentum, Pa./Deer Lakes) distributed 23 and 15 assists, respectively, while
Colin Vitale (Pittsburgh, Pa./Montour) chipped in with a team-best nine digs.
The Tomcats return to action on Sunday when they conclude the Penn State Behrend Invitational with a match against Lancaster Bible College. The match is scheduled to get underway at 12 p.m.
