OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Dante McCoy (Reading, Pa./Holy Name) registered 14 kills and hit .429 for the Tomcats in their 3-0 Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) victory over Eastern Mennonite University Friday.

The Tomcats (11-8) posted set wins of 25-21, 26-24, and 25-22.

John Turner (Cambridge Springs, Pa./Cambridge Springs) hit an error-free .500 with nine kills while Andrew Pohlod (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) and Kyle Turkalj (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) contributed with seven and six kills, respectively. Corey Hamilton (Meadville, Pa./Maplewood) totaled 36 assists while logging four digs and Ian Phillips (Meadville, Pa./Meadville) led the Tomcats with nine digs. As a team Thiel combined to hit .345 while finishing with 42 kills in the three-game sweep.

Thiel returns to CVC play on Saturday, taking on host Stevenson at 1:30 p.m. and Philadelphia Biblical University at 3:30 p.m.
