HAMBURG, N.Y. — The Tomcat men's volleyball notched their fourth consecutive victory as they defeated Hilbert College 3-0 Saturday afternoon.
Thiel (4-2) dominated the contest, winning with game scores of 25-11, 25-19, and 25-11.
Dante McCoy (Reading, Pa./Holy Name) led the Tomcat offensive attack with eight kills while
John Turner (Cambridge Springs, Pa./Cambridge Springs) added six. Two different setters went over 10 assists as
Tyler Kanelos (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) and
Corey Hamilton (Meadville, Pa./Maplewood) distributed 13 and 12, respectively.
Ian Phillips (Meadville, Pa./Meadville) paced the defensive effort with six digs.
Thiel returns to action on Friday, February 3 when the host the AVI Invitational. The Tomcats will kick off the eight-team event on Friday, when they take on the Lions of Mount Saint Joseph at 6:30 p.m. The match will be played at Farrell High School.
