KENOSHA, Wis. – The Thiel College men's volleyball squad suffered a pair of setbacks Saturday at the Midwest-III Crossover Tournament II at Carthage College's Tarble Arena, falling to Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) 3-0 (25-19, 25-9, 25-17) before losing to third-ranked Carthage 3-0 (27-25, 27-25, 25-23).
Against MSOE
Dante McCoy (Reading, Pa., Holy Name) posted 17 kills while
Jacob Schultz (Cochranton, Pa., Cochranton) added 15 digs.
Grant Kocher (Venetia, Pa., Peters Township) chipped in with eight kills while
Corey Hamilton (Meadville, Pa., Maplewood) dished out 31 assists.
Against Carthage McCoy once again led the way with 11 kills while
Morgan Carson (Winter Springs, Fla., Winter Springs) added four. Hamilton totaled 15 assists with Carson and Schultz each adding four digs.
The Tomcats (5-17, 2-4 M-III) conclude play at the Crossover Tournament II Sunday as they take on Mount St. Joseph (10 a.m.) and Fontbonne (noon).
