ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Thiel College men's volleyball team (8-19) finished the road portion of their season with a 3-0 loss to the Saints of Sienna Heights University. The Saints took the three games by scores of 25-23, 25-19, and 25-18 respectively.
The Tomcats were led offensively by sophomore
Dante McCoy (Reading, Pa., Holy Name) who had 14 kills and freshman
Evan Proksell (Pittsburgh, Pa., Shaler Area) who added seven. Freshman
Corey Hamilton (Meadville, Pa., Maplewood) added 21 assists on the day and all three players added at least four digs during the course of the contest.
The Saints (9-14) took advantage of some strong offense as Adrian Rutt recorded 15 kills and Jeff Hardman added 10 kills on just 13 attempts. As a team Sienna Heights finished with .307 team hitting percentage and added 5 total blocks.
Thiel will finish the regular season of play with their final home match of the season when they play Elmira College. First serve is scheduled for seven p.m.
