CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Thiel College men's volleyball squad went 2-0 on the final day of the Midwest III Power Weekend, hosted by the College of Mount St. Joseph. The Tomcats earned a pair of three-set wins, besting Fontbonne University and the host Lions.
Dante McCoy (Reading, Pa., Holy Name) registered 10 kills in each of the victories for the Tomcats.
In the 25-22, 25-13, 25-14 win over Fontbonne
Grant Kocher (Venetia, Pa., Peters Township) posted seven kills with
Jacob Schultz (Cochranton, Pa., Cochranton) accumulating 10 digs. As a team the Tomcats collected 11 blocks.
Defeating Mount St. Joseph 25-13, 25-19, 25-16
Morgan Carson (Winter Springs, Fla., Winter Springs) finished with eight kills and six digs while Schultz contributed with 20 digs. McCoy also added six digs in the win.
Thiel (4-14) returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 26 at Hilbert College.
