Buffalo, N.Y. — The Thiel College men's volleyball team dropped their second straight match as they lost in four sets to Medaille College on Thursday evening in Buffalo, N.Y.
Thiel got off to a fast start over the Mustangs as they took game one by a score of 25-23. However, Medaille would come back strong and win the next three sets by scores of 26-24, 25-18, and 25-17 respectively to take the three games to one victory.

Dante McCoy (Reading, Pa., Holy Name) once again led the way for the Tomcats as he managed 19 kills for the match. Freshman setter
Corey Hamilton (Meadville, Pa., Maplewood) also helped the offense with a total of 29 assists. On the defensive end, freshman libero
Jacob Schultz (Cochranton, Pa., Cochranton) added 10 digs and freshman middle hitter
Kyle Turkalj (Greensburg, Pa., Hempfield) had seven total blocks.
Thiel, who dropped to 1-2 on the season, will host the AVI Invitational this weekend. Three of the top ten teams in the nation will be a part of the inaugural tournament for the Tomcats. The teams include Juniata, Nazareth, and Carthage College. The first game will take place on Saturday, January 22 at 7 p.m. and continue into Sunday with matches beginning at 11 a.m.
