TEMPE, Ariz. (July 23) -- Both the Thiel College Men's and Women's Tennis programs along with 11 student-athletes were recognized when the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced their All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes yesterday afternoon.
The teams earned the ITA honors by each holding a team cumulative grade-point average over 3.20 upon the completion of the 2025-26 academic year.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a player must be a varsity letter winner and hold a grade-point average of at least 3.50 upon the completion of the most recent academic term.
The women have earned the team honor in each of the last three seasons while the men have been recognized in each of the last two seasons.
On the men's side,
Pierson Badowski (Grove City, Pa./Grove City),
Tyrus Horton (Fuquay Varina, N.C./Athens Drive),
Ethan Tabaka (Hermitage, Pa./West Middlesex) and
Bret Vilage (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) were named ITA Scholar-Athletes. Vilage and Tabaka have now each earned the scholar-athlete distinction in each of the last two seasons.
For the women,
Mila Brdar (White Oak, Pa./McKeesport),
Alivia Fallon (Mount Pleasant, Pa./M.T. Pleasant),
Sophie Gray (Wampum, Pa./Lincoln),
Sydney Green (Titusville, Pa./Titusville),
Megan Harding (Sharon, Pa./Sharon),
Chloe Walton (Lower Burrell, Pa./Burrell) and
Emmalea Zummo (Jeannette, Pa./Jeannette) earned the scholar-athlete distinction. Brdar and Walton are now two-time recipients of the honor, having earned the recognition in each of the last two sea
