GREENVILLE, Pa. (Sept. 11) -- The Thiel College Women's Tennis team enters the 2026 season with a fresh look under the leadership of first-year head coach Ken Stitt.
A volunteer assistant last season, Stitt aims to bring his winning background to the Tomcat program. Stitt brings more than two decades of successful head coaching experience to Thiel after leading the Greenville High School boys' tennis program from 2002-24. During his 23 seasons, Stitt recorded more than 200 career victories with a .730 winning percentage while guiding Greenville to 11 region championships and four Tri-County championships.
The 2026 Cats feature seven freshmen, three juniors and a pair of seniors in
Makayla Flock (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Salem) and
Emmalea Zummo (Jeannette, Pa./Jeannette).
Thiel's 2026 fall slate features 12 contests, including seven showdowns at Tomcat Tennis Courts, nine PAC clashes and three non-conference matchups.

Sept. 14: Home opener versus Fredonia
Sept. 18: Home clash against newest PAC member Saint Francis
Oct. 5-9: Three-match homestand
with contests against Franciscan (Oct. 5), Grove City (Oct. 7) and Senior Day against Ursuline (Oct. 9)
Oct. 16: Regular season final versus W&J
