BEREA, Ohio (Sept. 11) -- The Thiel College Women's Tennis Team traveled to Berea, Ohio in a non-conference match against Baldwin Wallace University Friday. Baldwin Wallace won the dual match 7-0.

The No. 3 doubles match showcased Olivia Walker (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) and Summer Stitt (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) in their college tennis debut. Walker and Stitt defeated Kate Slutz and Ashley Franks 7-5 in a hard-fought battle.

In No. 5 singles, Olivia Walker (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) competed well in a 4-6, 2-6 loss to Zoe Pafford. The No. 6 singles match was a marathon match. Summer Stitt (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) scrapped in a hardfought battle that resulted in a 5-7, 2-6 loss to Ashley Franks.

Thiel is back in action Monday at home against Fredonia at 3 p.m.
