NEW ORLEANS, La. (May 22) -- Thiel College freshman Track and Field athlete Carter Alexandre (North Lauderdale, Fla./Stranahan) was named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field All-Mid-Atlantic Region team Thursday afternoon.

Alexandre is the first Tomcat since Andre Williams in 2023 to make an All-Region team and the first Tomcat freshman since LeAndre Jackson in 2016 to earn the distinction.

Alexandre tied for fourth at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships in the high jump at 1.86m, earning the Cats 4.5 points.

At Slippery Rock's Dave Labor Invite on April 3, Alexandre produced the fifth-best high jump in team history at 1.95m to finish seventh. His jump was the fifth-best in the PAC this season, just 1 centimeter shy of the third-best league mark in 2026.

Including the indoor season, Alexandre finished seventh or better in 7-of-8 meets in the high jump.

The Tomcats showed vast improvement in 2026 from years prior under the leadership of Jessi Juarez.
