BOARDMAN, Ohio (April 25) -- The Thiel College Men's Golf team placed fifth at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships as
Jackson Gadsby (Sandy Lake, Pa./Lakeview) made the All-PAC Second Team and
Joe Grundy (Saegertown, Pa./Saegertown) earned All-PAC Honorable Mention status.
The PAC Golf Championships features a 72-hole stroke play event, beginning with 36 holes played in the fall and another 36 holes played at Mill Creek Metroparks and the Mill Creek South Golf Course in Boardman, Ohio.
The All-PAC honor is the first in Gadsby's career. He tied for ninth with a four-round tally of 307 (+23) as he recorded round scores of 78, 72, 77 and 80. He had nine pars in the final round to go with two birdies in round three.
The All-Conference distinction is also the first for Grundy. He tied for 16th with a 313 (+29) as he fired round scores of 78, 76, 79 and 80. Grundy notched eight pars in the final round to go with seven pars and two birdies in round three.
Eli Nicklas (Erie, Pa./Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy) placed 21st with a 319 (+35). He recorded scores of 81, 74, 79 and 85.
Brandon Stubert (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) was the final scoring Tomcat in the spring rounds, firing a 79 in round three and an 81 today.
Brett Crawn (New Kensington, Pa./Valley) competed as an individual and fired a final-round 88.
