MEADVILLE, Pa. (Sept. 22) -- The Thiel College Men's and Women's Golf teams concluded play at Allegheny College's two-round Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational Monday evening from The Country Club of Meadville.
The men placed 10-of-13 teams while the women finished 7th-of-8 teams.
Eli Nicklas (Erie, Pa./Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy) paced the the men as he tied for 32nd-of-64 golfers with a 157. Nicklas carded a 78 in round one Sunday and a 79 Monday. He totaled four birdies and 15 pars for the invitational.
Jackson Gadsby (Sandy Lake, Pa./Lakeview) and
Joe Grundy (Saegertown, Pa./Saegertown) each carded a 159 to tie for 39th. Gadsby logged 23 pars for the invitational while Grundy had four birdies.
Brady Rzodkiewicz (Harborcreek, Pa./Harbor Creek) tied for 44th with a 163 while
Brett Crawn (New Kensington, Pa./Valley) was 60th with a 185.
On the women's side,
Kelsi Hefner (Meadville, Pa./Meadville) finished 33rd-of-49 golfers with a 186. Hefner holed her first collegiate eagle on the par-4 11th in round one to go with a birdie on the par-5 first.
Emily Eutsey (Jones Mills, Pa./Mount Pleasant) came in 35th with a 189. She had four pars for the invitational.
Megan Bull (Hermitage, Pa./Hickory) was not far behind as she placed 37th with a 196 while
Grascen Reyburn (Franklin, Pa./Rocky Grove) finished 44th with a 216.
Both sides are back in action at the Grove City Invitational from Grove City CC with the men competing next Monday and the women hitting the course on Monday, Oct. 6.
