GREENVILLE, Pa. (Oct. 27) -- The Thiel College Track & Field program, under the leadership of Director Jessi Juarez, will host seven weekend clinics this upcoming February inside the Rissell-Schreyer Dome.

The clinics are for any 9th through 12th graders. Discus, speed and shot put clinics will be held on Feb. 8 and 22 while a hurdles clinic will take place on Feb. 15.

Attendees will receive first-hand training and in-depth coverage in the shot put and discuss from Thiel's championship-level staff, including two-time NCAA Division II national champion and eight-time All-American assistant coach Isaiah Schafer.

The speed clinic will provide runners with the the basic fundamentals of sprinting along with a specific understanding of how to accomplish postural integrity, proper acceleration and an ability to integrate complex drills and exercises into weekly training sessions. Attendees will walk away with a deeper understanding of what it means to sprint efficiently and fast.

The hurdles clinic is meant for individuals with experience hurdling and who are looking to gain a deeper understanding of what it takes to hurdle at a high level.
