WARREN, Ohio (Oct. 14) -- The Thiel College Men's Golf team carded a 626 and is tied for fourth after the opening two rounds of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Fall Championships from Avalon Lakes GC in Warren, Ohio.
The PAC Championships feature a 72-hole stroke play event, beginning with 36 holes played this fall and another 36 holes played Friday-Saturday, April 24-25, 2026 at Mill Creek Metroparks and the Mill Creek Golf Course in Boardman, Ohio.
The Tomcats shot a 322 in round one and followed it up with a championship-best 18-stroke improvement (304) in round two to climb from seventh into a tie for fourth.
Jackson Gadsby (Sandy Lake, Pa./Lakeview) paced the Tomcats with a 6-over 150 through the fall rounds to sit in seventh. Gadsby shot a 78 in round one and career-best even-par 72 in today's round. He had a trio of birdies and bogeys each on the front nine along with one birdie and bogey on the back nine.
Joe Grundy (Saegertown, Pa./Saegertown) is 11th with a 10-over 154. He carded a 78 in round one and a 76 in Tuesday's action. He had an eagle along with three birdies today along with two birdies yesterday.
Eli Nicklas (Erie, Pa./Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy) is just behind Grundy and is tied for 12th with an 11-over 155. Nicklas tied his career best with a 74 in round-two action, a seven-stroke improvement from the 81 he shot in round one. He had a pair of birdies on the front nine and eight pars on the last nine today.
Brady Rzodkiewicz (Harborcreek, Pa./Harbor Creek) is tied for 34th with a 167 while
Tommy Burns (Buffalo, N.Y./Williamsville North) is 50th with a 188.
Today's action concludes Thiel's fall slate. The Tomcats' spring schedule will be released at a later date.
