LATROBE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's golf team competed at the Saint Vincent College Invitational Monday afternoon.
Pitt-Greensburg won the team title with a score of 324. Saint Vincent took second (328), while Grove City (330) took third. Thiel finished eighth as a team with a score of 353.
Grove City's Adam Steinmetz was the medalist.
Eli Nicklas (Erie, Pa./Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy) paced the Tomcats, finishing tied for 14
th with a score of 86.
Marc Knox (Franklin, Pa./Franklin) (87) finished tied for 26
th, while
Joe Grundy (Saegertown, Pa./Saegertown) (90) finished tied for 43
rd.
Patrick Belback (Greenville, Pa./Reynolds) (90) and
Jackson Gadsby (Sandy Lake, Pa./Lakeview) (90) both finished tied for 43
rd.
The Tomcats are back in action on Sunday when they head to Allegheny for the two-day Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Invitational. The event is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
