SHARON, Pa. – The Thiel College men's golf team tied for third Saturday at the Thiel Spring Invitational, which took place at Avalon at Buhl Park.
Thiel tied for third with Saint Vincent (331). Westminster won the team title (322) while Grove City was the runner-up (323).
Logan Pistorius (Karns City, Pa./Karns City Area) led the Tomcats with a score of 80, which tied him for sixth.
Zach Lyons (Franklin, Pa./Franklin) and
Marc Knox (Franklin, Pa./Franklin) both turned in scores of 81 to tie for ninth.
Thiel's
Luke Sadowski (Sharon, Pa./Sharon) tied for 16
th after carding an 84.
Tyler Zere (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Connetquot) tied for 22
nd (86) while
Charlie Lichtenwalter (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) finished 28
th (91).
Nick Voytko (New Castle, Pa./Kennedy Catholic) finished 38
th (110).
Westminster's Portland Canovali was the medalist (75). Grove City's Aidan Allen was the runner-up (77).
Thiel will compete in Washington & Jefferson's Rossin Memorial Invitational on Monday.
