SHARON, Pa. – The Thiel Tomcats finished third Saturday at the Thiel Spring Invitational, which took place at Avalon at Buhl.
Thiel finished third with a score of 326. Westminster won the team title (296) while Grove City finished second (319).
Freshman
Tyler Zere (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Connetquot) turned in Thiel's best score (74), which tied him for fourth overall.
Zach Lyons (Franklin, Pa./Franklin) tied for eighth (78) while
Luke Sadowski (Sharon, Pa./Sharon) tied for 12
th (81).
Also for the Tomcats,
Charlie Lichtenwalter (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) and
Marc Knox (Franklin, Pa./Franklin) tied for 16
th with scores of 83 while
Zach Doddo (Sandy Lake, Pa./Lakeview) carded an 84 to tie for 18
th.
Logan Pistorius (Karns City, Pa./Karns City Area) finished tied for 26
th with a score of 90.
Westminster's Michael Bell was the medalist with a score of 71.
The Tomcats will participate in the Westminster Invitational on Monday, April 5.
