GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Thiel College women's lacrosse squad dropped its home match-up 14-3 against La Roche University in a tough non-conference contest Saturday afternoon from the Rissell-Schreyer Dome.
Thiel drops to 0-2 on the year, as the Redhawks pick up their first win of the 2026 season.
La Roche jumped out to a fast start, scoring five times in the opening quarter. Thiel responded with a goal from midfielder
Aidrianna Green (East Liverpool, Ohio/East Liverpool) early in the game to get on the board, but the Tomcats trailed 5-1 after one period.
In the second, the Redhawks extended their lead to 9-1 before Thiel junior
Makayla Flock (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Salem) tallied her first goal of the afternoon just before halftime to make it 9-2.
La Roche continued its offensive push in the third quarter, increasing the advantage to 13-2. Flock struck again for Thiel with her second goal of the day off a free position shot.
The Redhawks slowed down in the fourth, only tallying one score, but ultimately took home the victory.

Shayla Foster (East Liverpool, Ohio/East Liverpool) had a game best three caused turnovers and picked up two ground balls.

Edith Lithkousky (Carthage, N.Y./Carthage Central) made a career best seven saves off of 29 shots from La Roche and collected seven ground balls.
Thiel is back in action on Thursday, Feb. 26 when they host Mount Aloysius at 7 p.m.
