GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Thiel College Women's lacrosse team battled tough against a strong visiting Mt. Aloysius squad, ultimately falling 13-5 in the Rissell-Schreyer Dome.
The Blue and Gold drop to 0-3 on the year and the Mounties pick up their second win of the 2026 season.
After a well fought battle on both ends of the field, the first quarter ended 1-1 with a goal from
Camille Turner (Conneaut Lake, Pa./Conneaut Area). Mt. Aloysius began to pull ahead in the second quarter with a flurry of goals to lead 5-2 at halftime.
In the third quarter, Thiel responded with two goals from
Makayla Flock (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Salem) and
Hayden Wightman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler), trimming the deficit to 7-4.
Mt. Aloysius maintained offensive pressure and extended their lead in the fourth as they notched six goals compared to thiel's one.
Wightman led the offense with three points, adding an assist and two goals to her night. She collected three ground balls and one caused turnover.
Turner notched two goals, grabbed four ground balls and draw controls, as Flock scored one.
Goalkeeper
Edith Lithkousky (Carthage, N.Y./Carthage Central) had a career high 14 saves after facing 27 shots on goals.
Thiel is up next on the road to Alfred State at 5 p.m.
