NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Thiel College Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field team competed at the Westminster Invitational in New Wilmington, Pa. all day Saturday.
Below are the Men's events:
Nicholas Kobielus (West Middlesex, Pa./West Middlesex Area) took home a first place finish in the javelin throw with 53.90m.
Xavier Jenkins (Baltimore, Md./Wakefield) had a fourth place finish in the long jump with 6.50m, and a 28th place finish in the 100m with a time of 11.82.
Cadin Rex (Shippenville, Pa./) placed 29th in the shot put with 10.39m.
Adam Spaulding (Sharpsville, Pa./) took home the 10th place finish in the high jump with 1.86m.
Nathaniel Turner (Conneaut Lake, Pa./Conneaut Area) placed sixth in the 10000 meter run with a time of 35:05.17.
Cooper Riley (Jamestown, Pa./Jamestown) finished in 24th place in the 5000m run with a time of 16:55.08.
Brady Wear (Kinsman, Ohio/) placed 27th in the 400m with a time of 58.08.
John Bresnan (Greenville, Pa./Reynolds) placed 12th in the 100m dash with a time of 11.48, while Khalil Holmes (Bedford, Ohio/) placed 24th with a time of 11.73.
Holmes also placed 29th in the 200m with a time of 24.60.
In the 4x400m relay, Bresnan, Logan Smith (Girard, Pa./Girard), Wear, and Griffin Fraterrigo (Scotia, N.Y./) placed sixth with a time of 3:42.10.
Below are the Women's events:
Alexis McFadden (Kennerdell, Pa./Franklin Area) placed 12th in the triple jump with 10.13m and a 13th place finish in the long jump with 4.83m. McFadden also ran the 100m and finished with a time of 14.17.
Brooke Mottley (Rock Creek, Ohio/Geneva) finish in 21st place in the hammer throw with 27.59m.
Marissa Tiber (Burton, Ohio/Berkshire) placed 13th in the 100m hurdles with a time of 18.48.
In the 800m, Lillianna Briscoe (Beaver Falls, Pa./Quigley Catholic) placed 11th with a time of 2:26. 61.
Brooke Griffith (Chicora, Pa./Karns City) placed 10th in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 13:51. 38.
The Tomcats are back in action on Wednesday, April 16 when they travel to Grove City, Pa. To compete in the Grove City College Mini Invitational.
