PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The Thiel College Men's and Women's Track and Field program competed at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational Friday and Saturday in Pittsburgh, Pa.
In the women's shot put, Brooke Mottley (Rock Creek, Ohio/Geneva) placed 39th with 9.14m. Cydney Wierzbowski (Derry, Pa./Derry) threw 30.36m in women's hammer throw to place 25th and 29.25m in the discus throw to place 25th to secure a new personal best.
In the men's shot put, Nicholas Kobielus (West Middlesex, Pa./West Middlesex Area) placed 19th with 11.97m and 17th in the men's javelin throw with 48.22m where he set anew 2025 division III placement in 97th.
Andrew Yocum (Boardman, Ohio/Boardman) placed 20th in the men's 3000 steeplechase with a time of 11:45.52. Nathanial Turner placed 46th in the men's 1500m with a time of 4:30.51.
Logan Smith (Girard, Pa./Girard) jumped 5.80m in the men's long jump to place 27th and placed 36th in the men's 400m with 55.63.
In the women's long jump, Sha'nia Stiers-Royal (Austintown, Ohio/Austintown-Fitch) placed 34th with 4.62m and Alexis McFadden (Kennerdell, Pa./Franklin Area) placed 37th with 4.55m. McFadden also competed in the women's triple jump and placed 16th with 10.31m where she set a new 2025 division III placement in 70th.
Keith Rager (Derry, Pa./) threw 34.68m in the men's discus throw to place 28th.
Adam Spaulding (Sharpsville, Pa./) placed ninth in the men's high jump with 1.84m and a new 2025 division III placement in 81st.
In the women's javelin throw, Martiale Tete (Irvington, N.J.) placed 26th with 13.46m.
Lillianna Briscoe (Beaver Falls, Pa./Quigley Catholic) ran the women's 800m and placed 32nd with 2:27.17. Marissa Tiber (Burton, Ohio/Berkshire) competed in the women's 100m hurdles and placed 30th with 18.86 and secured a personal best.
Imogen deBlois (Hubbard, Ohio/Howland) placed 15th in the women's 400m run with a time of 1:02.05.
In the men's 100m, John Bresnan (Greenville, Pa./Reynolds) placed 45th with a time of 11.79 and 52nd in the men's 200m with a time of 23.70.
Brady Wear (Kinsman, Ohio/) placed 37th in the men's 400m with a time of 56.36 and set a new personal best, while Jacob Fraley (Cumberland, Md./Allegany) threw 18.37m for a new personal best in javelin throw.
The Tomcats are back in action on April 4 and 5 at Slippery Rock University when they compete at the Dave Labor Invite.
