GREENVILLE, Pa. (Oct. 8) -- The Thiel College Men's Tennis team collected a pair of points in its fall home opener from Tomcat Tennis Courts but ultimately fell 5-2 to Pitt Greensburg.
The Tomcats dip to 0-2 while the Bobcats rise to 1-2.
Tyrus Horton () posted a convincing 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles, his second victory of the season.
Bret Vilage (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) did the same at No. 2 singles as he rolled to a 6-0, 6-2 triumph.Â
The Horton-Vilage duo posted a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles as well.Â
Trevor Gateley () dropped a competitive match at No. 4 singles 4-6, 6-4, 6-10.
The Tomcats are back in action Oct. 24 for a 3 p.m. road match at Alfred.
