Box Score ALTOONA, Pa. – The Thiel College men's tennis team dropped a non-conference matchup to the Penn State Altoona Lions, 7-0, on the road Monday evening.

Nathaniel Udell (Meadowbrook, Pa./Abington) fell to Casey Hess, 6-0, 6-0, at first singles, while Bret Vilage (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) fell 6-4, 6-0 to Andrew Chronister at second doubles. Takafumi Sasazaki (Otaru, Hokkaido, Japan/Hozen) fell to Nick Beard 6-0, 6-0 at third singles, while Evan Cessna (Kittanning, Pa./West Shamokin) fell 6-0, 6-0 to Jackson Newell at fourth singles.

Udell and Vilage beat Kadyn Carey and Wilhelm Grot 7-5 at first doubles, while Sasazaki and Cessna fell to Emmett Hibbs and Gabriel Lopez 6-2 at second doubles.

The Tomcats return to action on Thursday when they host Penn State Behrend. The non-conference match is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
