BEREA, Ohio – Thiel College seniors
Andre Williams (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Boyd H. Anderson),
Quintin Weaver (Rimersburg, Pa./Union) and
Kaylee Suarez (Youngstown, Ohio/Mineral Ridge) competed at the 53
rd Annual Sparky Adams Invitational, hosted by Baldwin Wallace.
Weaver set a new school record in the men's 800-meter run with a time of 1:56.58. The previous record, held by Shawn Harding, has been in place since 1996.
Williams finished first in the men's triple jump with a mark of 13.73 meters.
Suarez finished fourth in the women's high jump with a mark of 1.55 meters.
The men's and women's track % field teams will wrap up the season with the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Outdoor Championships, hosted by West Virginia University. The Championships will be a two-day event and will be held on Thursday and Friday.
