MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's and women's tennis teams faced the Allegheny Gators on the road Saturday. Allegheny won both matches 9-0.
 
In men's play, David Rodriguez and Will Jarvie defeated Christian Kemp (Knoxville, Pa./Cowanesque Valley) and Evan Cessna (Kittanning, Pa./West Shamokin) 8-1 at second doubles. Evan Nelson topped Kemp 6-0, 6-1 at third singles.
 
In the women's match, Athena Drollas and Madelyn Harrington topped Emily Peters (Ravenna, Ohio/Ravenna) and Mei Williams (New Wilmington, Pa./Wilmington Area) 8-3 at third doubles. Jean-Arlette Legrand defeated Natalie Zgurich (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) 6-2, 6-1 at first singles while Sabrina Rodriguez defeated Payton Blankenbeckley (Portsmouth, Ohio/Minford) 6-2, 6-1 at second singles.
 
Thiel's women's team will host Grove City on Monday at 3:30 p.m. The men's team will take on Grove City on the road on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
