GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's tennis team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match Wednesday to the Geneva Golden Tornadoes, 8-1.
Eli Flinchbaugh (Oil City, Pa./Oil City) and
Nathaniel Udell (Meadowbrook, Pa./Abington) led the Tomcats with an 8-7 (7-4) win at first doubles over Nick Heidengren and Jadon Hooke. Geneva's David Clark and Owen Landis topped
Christian Kemp (Knoxville, Pa./Cowanesque Valley) and
Evan Cessna (Kittanning, Pa./West Shamokin) 8-4 at second doubles.
At third singles, Jalen Landis edged Kemp 6-3, 6-4. Jacob Zangas topped Cessna 7-5, 6-3 at fifth singles.
The Tomcats will face the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets on the road Friday. The PAC match is set to begin at 3 p.m.
