NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College men's and women's tennis teams lost to the Westminster Titans Wednesday, both by scores of 9-0.
 
In men's second doubles, Jimmy Oberlin and Jacob Mack beat Nathaniel Udell (Meadowbrook, Pa./Abington) and Noah Brieck (Kensington, Ohio/United Local), 8-3. Oberlin also defeated Eli Flinchbaugh (Oil City, Pa./Oil City) 6-1, 6-2 at second singles.
 
In women's second singles play, Sabrina Slagle topped Payton Blankenbeckley (Portsmouth, Ohio/Minford) 6-3, 6-0. Gia Francisco defeated Madeline Depalma (Ravenna, Ohio/Ravenna) 6-2, 6-0 at third singles.
 
Thiel's men's tennis team will host the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets Saturday at 1 p.m. The women's team will face the Washington & Jefferson Presidents on the road Tuesday at 4 p.m.
