NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio – The Thiel College men's tennis team opened its season Friday with a 9-0 non-conference loss to the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets at the North Ridge Tennis and Golf Club.
 
Connor Swatts (Greenwood, Ind./Whiteland Community) fell 6-2, 6-1 at third singles. At first singles, Haruto Kuroda (Himeji-shi, Japan) was defeated 6-1, 6-1 by Jake Elbin.
 
The Tomcats are scheduled to face the Penn State Behrend Lions on the road on Friday, Feb. 28. The non-conference match is set to begin at 6 p.m.
