GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Thiel College men's tennis team opened the 2019 season Tuesday with a 9-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss on the road to the Grove City Wolverines.
In singles action,
Connor Swatts (Greenwood, Ind./Whiteland Community) lost 6-2, 6-0 to Edward Doyle at No. 2 while
Christian Conrad (Barberton, Ohio/Central Catholic) also fell 6-2, 6-0 to Andrew Rodenbeck at No. 5.
Conrad and
Tyler Feciuch (Kent, Ohio/Field) dropped an 8-2 decision to Rodenbeck and Doyle at third doubles.
The Tomcats will host the Washington & Jefferson Presidents Thursday. The PAC match is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
