ALTOONA, Pa. – The Thiel College men's tennis team opened the 2018 season Friday with a 6-3 non-conference loss on the road to the Mount Aloysius Mounties.
Tyler Feciuch (Kent, Ohio/Field) and
Christian Conrad (Barberton, Ohio/Central Catholic) led the Tomcats with a pair of wins. Feciuch defeated John Branick 6-3, 6-0 at No. 5 singles while Conrad defeated Gavin Spellmeyer 6-3, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.
Feciuch and Conrad also teamed up to defeat Branick and Spellmeyer 8-3 at No. 3 doubles.
The Tomcats will open Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play Saturday when they face the Geneva Golden Tornadoes on the road. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
