ERIE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 non-conference loss on the road to the Penn State Behrend Lions Thursday.
For the Tomcats,
Nick Peroni (Pittsburgh, Pa./Canon-McMillan) was defeated 10-7 by Michael Duckett at No. 4 singles while
Thad Paunovich (Avonmore, Pa./Kiski Area) suffered a 10-6 loss to Brett Palmer at No. 3 singles. Also for Thiel,
Raymond Bullis (Meadville, Pa./Meadville) was edged 10-5 by Jeremy Burnheimer at No. 2 singles.
Tomcats
Christian Conrad (Barberton, Ohio/Central Catholic) and Peroni lost 8-6 to Noah Colvin and Chris Heintz at No. 3 doubles.
The Tomcats will begin play in the PAC Championships Friday.
