GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's tennis team was defeated 6-3 in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play Monday by the Geneva Golden Tornadoes.
Thad Paunovich (Avonmore, Pa./Kiski Area) was involved in two wins for the Tomcats. He defeated Evan Shaw at No. 3 singles 7-5, 3-6, 10-5. Paunovich also teamed up with
Alex Horvatits (Lancaster, N.Y./Saint Mary's) for an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles over Eric Abbott and Alex Greissinger.
Cole Duskey (Orrville, Ohio/Orrville) also earned a 6-3, 6-2 win over Abbott at No. 1 singles.
The Tomcats will return to action Tuesday when they face the Penn State Behrend Lions on the road. The non-conference match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
