BETHANY, W.Va. – The Thiel College men's tennis team suffered an 8-1 Presidents' Athletic Conference loss Tuesday on the road to the Bethany Bison.
Nick Peroni (Pittsburgh, Pa./Canon-McMillan) and
Christian Conrad (Barberton, Ohio/Central Catholic) paced the Tomcats in the match with an 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles over Jay O'Donnell and Callum Applyby.
Peroni also battled at No. 4 singles but fell 6-1, 3-6, 10-4 to Jack Waters. Also for the Tomcats,
Alex Horvatits (Lancaster, N.Y./Saint Mary's) suffered a 1-6, 6-0, 10-8 loss to Applyby at No. 5 singles.
The Tomcats will return to action Thursday when they take on the Penn State Behrend Lions on the road. The non-conference match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
