NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College men's tennis team won a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match on the road over the Westminster Titans Thursday, 5-4.
Cole Duskey (Orrville, Ohio/Orrville) won his No. 1 singles match against A.J. May 7-5, 6-2.
Thad Paunovich (Avonmore, Pa./Kiski Area) won his No. 3 singles match against Brendan Messner 6-2, 6-0 while Alex Horvatits (Lancaster, N.Y./Saint Mary's) won his No. 5 singles match against Yu-Hsien Lin 6-3, 6-3.
Paunovich and
Nick Peroni (Pittsburgh, Pa./Canon-McMillan) teamed up to win at No. 2 doubles, 8-3. Horvatits and
Christian Conrad (Barberton, Ohio/Central Catholic) also won in doubles play (No. 3), 8-4.
The Tomcats will be on the road to face the Bethany College Bison on Tuesday. The PAC match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
