WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College men's tennis team fell to the Washington & Jefferson Presidents in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest Friday afternoon.
Cole Duskey (Orrville, Ohio/Orrville) and
Thad Paunovich (Avonmore, Pa./Kiski Area) each dropped hard fought singles matches. Duskey was defeated by Sean Carrick in No. 1 singles 6-3, 6-2 while Paunovich was upended by Micah Bynum in No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-2.
Paunovich and Duskey took on both Carrick and Byrum in No. 1 doubles but the Tomcat duo suffered a 8-2 defeat.
The Tomcats will travel to Buffalo, N.Y. tomorrow to take on the D'Youville Spartans in non-conference action. The match is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
