ERIE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's tennis team was defeated by the Penn State – Behrend Lions 7-2 in a non-conference match Tuesday afternoon.
 
Thad Paunovich (Avonmore, Pa./Kiski Area) and Frank Jackson (Mt. Lebanon/Mt. Lebanon) recorded a victory in No. 1 doubles over Nick Kapty and Jeremy Burnheimer 8-6.
 
In singles action, Alex Horvatits (Lancaster, N.Y./Saint Mary's ) defeated Norween Salalac 6-2, 6-4 in No. 6 singles.
 
The Tomcats will resume their conference schedule tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. as they head south to take on the Grove City Wolverines.
