ALTOONA, Pa. – The Thiel College men's tennis team suffered a 7-2 defeat to the hands of the Mount Aloysius Mounties in the Tomcats 2015 season opener.

Thad Paunovich (Avonmore, Pa./Kiski Area) earned a 6-4, 7-5 victory in No.2 doubles over Mount Aloysius' Nick Centar.

Also for Thiel, Alex Horvatits (Lancaster, N.Y./Saint Mary's ) defeated Patrick Schneeberger 6-2, 6-1 in No.6 singles.

The Tomcats (0-1) will be back in action Saturday, March 28 at 12 p.m. when they take on the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match.
