NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. — The Thiel men's tennis team opened the 2014 season Friday, falling in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play to the Titans of Westminster College 9-0.
 
Justin Mayhugh (Pittsburgh, Pa./Northgate) was the Tomcat's top performer as he fell 6-0, 6-2 at number four singles to the Titans' Mark Andino. Mayhugh then joined with Jon Fennick (New Castle, Pa./Neshannock ) to take two sets in an 8-2 loss at number two doubles.
 
The Tomcats are scheduled to host the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg on Sunday, March 30. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m.
